Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1396

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(The period of) wiping over the leather socks is one day and one night for the resident, and three days and three nights for the traveller."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Muslim al-Mula'i, and he is da'if (weak).
