Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1386

Abu Ya'la recorded this report from Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her): She said: O Messenger of Allah! Should a man take off his leather socks at every moment? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No! He may keep wiping over them as long as he sees fit."
Its chain contains a narrator, Umar bin Ishaq bin Yasar. Al-Daraqutni (may Allah have mercy on him) says: he is not strong. Ibn Hibban mentioned him in the book "al-Thiqat".
