Thanking a favour and recompensing the one who did it

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ النَّاسَ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is not grateful to people has not thanked Allah Almighty either."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).
