وَعَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to wipe over the leather socks and the head-covering.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).
