Majma al-Zawaid 13542 — The right of the neighbour and the injunction
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا زَالَ جِبْرِيلُ يُوصِينِي بِالْجَارِ حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيُوَرِّثُهُ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَابِتِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril kept urging me about the neighbour, until I thought that he would make him an heir."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Thabit bin Aslam, and he is da'if (weak).
