Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A man came while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) were praying at the place where the funeral prayer is offered. The man asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who is this man whom I saw with you? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Did you see him?" He replied: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have seen a great deal of good. That was Jibril, who kept urging me about the neighbour, until I thought that he would make him an heir."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Fadl bin Mubashshir, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) while others declared him da'if (weak); the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
