وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عُتْبَةُ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ ، ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ ، وَقَالَ : يَرْوِي الْمَقَاطِيعَ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عُتْبَةُ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ ، ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ ، وَقَالَ : يَرْوِي الْمَقَاطِيعَ .
Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks and his head-covering.
Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Utbah bin Abi Umayyah. Ibn Hibban mentioned him in the book "al-Thiqat" and said: he narrates "maqtu'" reports.
