Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13492

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أُخْتَانِ فَأَحْسَنَ صُحْبَتَهُمَا [مَا صَحِبَتَاهُ] دَخَلَ بِهِمَا الْجَنَّةَ " . قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " ابْنَتَانِ " . بَدَلَ : " أُخْتَانِ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَضَعَّفَهُ جُمْهُورُ الْأَئِمَّةِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever has two sisters and treats them well for as long as they remain with him, he will enter Paradise because of them." (Allamah Haythami says: I say:
Imam Ibn Majah recorded this report, but he mentioned the word "two daughters" in place of "two sisters."
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Shurahbil bin Sa'd, whom Ibn Hibban declared trustworthy while the majority of the imams declared him da'if (weak), and the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
