وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ لَهَا : " إِنَّهُ مَنْ أُعْطِيَ حَظَّهُ مِنَ الرِّفْقِ فَقَدْ أُعْطِيَ حَظَّهُ مِنْ خَيْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ، وَصِلَةِ الرَّحِمِ وَحُسْنِ الْجِوَارِ [وَحُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ] يُعَمِّرَانِ الدِّيَارَ ، وَيَزِيدَانِ فِي الْأَعْمَارِ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ إِلَّا أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ الْقَاسِمِ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ عَائِشَةَ .
Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Whoever has been given his share of gentleness has been given his share of the good of this world and the Hereafter. Looking after the rights of kinship, being a good neighbour and having good character make lands flourish and increase lifespans."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except that Abd al-Rahman bin al-Qasim did not hear from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her).
