وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ - عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُمَدَّ لَهُ فِي عُمْرِهِ ، وَيُوَسَّعَ عَلَيْهِ فِي رِزْقِهِ ، وَيُدْفَعَ عَنْهُ مِيتَةُ السُّوءِ ، فَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ " . رَوَاهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ وَالْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُ الْبَزَّارِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever would like his life to be lengthened, his provision to be made abundant and an evil death to be warded off from him, let him keep fearing Allah Almighty and look after the rights of kinship."
Abdullah bin Ahmad, al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat) recorded it. The narrators of al-Bazzar are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Asim bin Damrah, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
