وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ وَصِلَةَ الرَّحِمِ يَزِيدُ اللَّهُ بِهِمَا فِي الْعُمْرِ ، وَيَدْفَعُ بِهِمَا مِيتَةَ السُّوءِ ، وَيَدْفَعُ اللَّهُ بِهِمَا الْمَكْرُوهَ وَالْمَحْذُورَ " . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reports concerning the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed charity and maintaining the ties of kinship: through both of them Allah Almighty increases one's lifespan, through both of them He wards off an evil death, and through both of them Allah Almighty removes what is disliked and what is harmful."
