Majma al-Zawaid 13453 — Maintaining and severing ties of kinship
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَحَثَّ عَلَى صِلَةِ الرَّحِمِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ ، وَيَأْتِي بِتَمَامِهِ فِي الْقِيَامِ عَلَى الْبَنَاتِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon and urged (people) to maintain the ties of kinship.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good). The complete narration will come in the chapter on looking after daughters, if Allah wills.
