Al-A'mash says: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) would sit in a circle after the morning prayer and say: "I adjure by Allah anyone who severs the ties of kinship to get up and leave us, for we now intend to supplicate to our Lord, and the gates of heaven remain closed to one who severs the ties of kinship."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that al-A'mash did not live in the time of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him).
