Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1325

Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) eat meat from the foreleg. When he had finished, he (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped his fingers on the wall, and then he (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the Asr and Maghrib prayers without performing ablution again.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this report in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain states that Amr bin Qays al-Makki narrated it from Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Khalid bin al-Zubayr, and I have not seen anyone who has written about the two of them.
This report is also transmitted through another chain, which contains a narrator, al-Waqidi, who is a kadhdhab (liar).
