بَابُ لَا فَضْلَ لِأَحَدٍ عَلَى أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِالتَّقْوَى
No one has superiority over another except by piety

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
" إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ أَمَرَ اللَّهُ مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي : أَلَا إِنِّي جَعَلْتُ نَسَبًا وَجَعَلْتُمْ نَسَبًا ، فَجَعَلْتُ أَكْرَمَكُمْ أَتْقَاكُمْ ، فَأَبَيْتُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَقُولُوا : فُلَانُ بْنُ فُلَانٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ فُلَانِ بْنِ فُلَانٍ ، فَالْيَوْمَ أَرْفَعُ نَسَبِي وَأَضَعُ نَسَبَكُمْ ، أَيْنَ الْمُتَّقُونَ ؟ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
" إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ أَمَرَ اللَّهُ مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي : أَلَا إِنِّي جَعَلْتُ نَسَبًا وَجَعَلْتُمْ نَسَبًا ، فَجَعَلْتُ أَكْرَمَكُمْ أَتْقَاكُمْ ، فَأَبَيْتُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَقُولُوا : فُلَانُ بْنُ فُلَانٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ فُلَانِ بْنِ فُلَانٍ ، فَالْيَوْمَ أَرْفَعُ نَسَبِي وَأَضَعُ نَسَبَكُمْ ، أَيْنَ الْمُتَّقُونَ ؟ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When it is the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will command a herald to proclaim: 'Behold! I made a lineage and you made a lineage. I made the most honoured of you the one who is most God-fearing among you, but you refused that and said: "So-and-so, son of so-and-so, is better than so-and-so, son of so-and-so." Today I will raise My lineage and lower your lineage. Where are the God-fearing?'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Talhah bin Amr, who is matruk (abandoned).
