Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12890

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhayl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Among the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was a man named Aswad (black), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named him Abyad (white).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).
