وَعَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقُلْتُ : وُلِدَتْ لِي اللَّيْلَةَ جَارِيَةٌ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " وَاللَّيْلَةُ أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيَّ سُورَةُ مَرْيَمَ ، سَمِّهَا مَرْيَمَ " . فَكَانَتْ تُسَمَّى مَرْيَمَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْخَبَائِرِيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Abu Bakr bin Abi Maryam narrates from his father, from his grandfather, that he said: I came into the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "A daughter has been born to me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Last night Surah Maryam was revealed to me, so name the girl Maryam." So the girl was named Maryam.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Sulayman bin Salamah al-Khaba'iri, who is matruk (abandoned).
