It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qayyum (may Allah be pleased with him), whose kunyah was Abu Ubayd, that he said: I came with Sayyiduna Abu Rashid al-Azdi (may Allah be pleased with him) as part of a delegation into the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Abu Rashid: "What is your name?" He replied: "Abd al-Uzza Abu Mu'awiyah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rather, you are Abd al-Rahman Abu Rashid." Then he asked: "Who is this with you?" He replied: "This is my slave." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What is his name?" He replied: "Qayyum." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rather, he is Abd al-Qayyum Abu Ubaydah."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a group of narrators whom I do not know.
