وَعَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " سَمَّيْتُهُمَا - يَعْنِي الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ - بِاسْمِ ابْنَيْ هَارُونَ : شِبْرٌ وَشُبَيْرٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ بَرْدَعَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
وَيَأْتِي حَدِيثُ امْرَأَةٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا : سَوْدَةُ فِي مَنَاقِبِ الْحَسَنِ ، إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ .

Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have named these two (the narrator says: that is, Sayyiduna Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Imam Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him)) after the names of the two sons of Sayyiduna Harun (peace be upon him), Shibr and Shubayr."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Barda'ah bin Abd al-Rahman, who is da'if (weak). Further on, a hadith narrated by a woman named Sawdah will come in the chapter on the virtues of Sayyiduna Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him), if Allah wills.
