Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12810

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Busr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Do not come to houses directly in front of their doors; rather, come from the sides, and then seek permission. If you are given permission, enter; otherwise, go back." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: another hadith is reported from this Companion which Imam Abu Dawud narrated, and it is other than this narration.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it through various routes, and the narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Irq, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
