وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ فَإِنَّهُ لِلَّهِ رِضًا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى أَبُو الْفَيْضِ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spread the greeting of peace (salam), for it is a cause of Allah Almighty's pleasure."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Salim bin Abd al-A'la Abu al-Fayd, who is matruk (abandoned).
