بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي السَّلَامِ وَإِفْشَائِهِ وَفَضْلِهِ

Majma al-Zawaid 12723 — Reports on the greeting of peace, spreading
عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُنِي الْجَنَّةَ . قَالَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ مُوجِبَاتِ الْمَغْفِرَةِ بَذْلُ السَّلَامِ وَحُسْنُ الْكَلَامِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ ، رَوَى عَنْهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَلَمْ يُضَعِّفْهُ أَحَدٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ ، رَوَى عَنْهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَلَمْ يُضَعِّفْهُ أَحَدٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Hani' bin Yazid Abu Shurayh (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I said: "O Messenger of Allah! Guide me to a deed that will make me enter Paradise." He said: "Among the things that make forgiveness certain are spreading the greeting of peace (salam) and speaking well."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Abu Ubaydah bin Abdullah al-Ashja'i; Ahmad bin Hanbal and others narrated from him, and no one declared him weak. The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
