وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " لَا يَزْدَادُ الْأَمْرُ إِلَّا شِدَّةً ، وَلَا يَزْدَادُ الْمَالُ إِلَّا إِفَاضَةً ، وَلَا يُزَادُ النَّاسُ إِلَّا شُحًّا ، وَلَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ إِلَّا عَلَى شِرَارِ النَّاسِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ وُثِّقُوا وَفِيهِمْ ضَعْفٌ ، وَرَوَاهُ بِإِسْنَادٍ آخَرَ ضَعِيفٍ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The severity of matters will keep increasing, wealth will keep spreading, people's miserliness will keep increasing, and the Hour will be established upon the worst of people."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its narrators have been declared thiqat (trustworthy), and there is weakness in them; he also recorded it with another, da'if (weak), chain.
