Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12219

It is reported from him that he said: "A time will surely come upon you in which a man will pass by a grave and say: Would that I were in this dead person's place! He will not say this out of longing to be presented before Allah Almighty, but because of the severity of the trial he has faced. It was asked: What will be best at that time? He said: A strong horse and strong weapons, by means of which a man can go wherever he wishes."
Al-Tabarani recorded it with two chains, the narrators of one of which are the narrators of the Sahih, except Abu al-Za'ra' al-Kabir, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) and others declared da'if (weak).
