Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Dharr! What will become of you when you remain among the dregs of people? Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) interlaced his fingers. I said: O Messenger of Allah! What do you command me? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Be patient! Be patient! Get along with people according to their manners, and differ from them in their deeds."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Yazid bin Rabi'ah al-Rahabi, and he is matruk (abandoned).
