Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Soon a time will come upon you in which you will envy a person whose burdens are few, just as today you envy a person whose wealth and children are many; until (in that time) one of you will pass by his brother's grave and roll about in the dust just as an animal rolls in the dust in its pasture, and he will say: Would that I were in your place! He will not say this out of longing to be presented before Allah Almighty, nor because he has sent ahead some good deed on account of which he would say it; rather he will say it because of the trial that has befallen him."
Al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ali bin Yazid al-Alhani, and he is matruk (abandoned).
