وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا رَأَيْتَ أُمَّتِي تَهَابُ الظَّالِمَ أَنْ تَقُولَ لَهُ : أَنْتَ ظَالِمٌ فَقَدْ تُوُدِّعَ مِنْهُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ سِنَانُ بْنُ هَارُونَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ وَقَدْ حَسَّنَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ حَدِيثَهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you see my Ummah afraid of the oppressor, (afraid) to say to him: 'You are an oppressor,' then the time of their farewell will have come."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Sinan bin Harun, who is da'if (weak), though al-Tirmidhi graded his hadith hasan (good); the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
