بَابٌ فِي أَهْلِ الْمَعْرُوفِ وَأَهْلِ الْمُنْكَرِ .
The people of good and the people of evil
Majma al-Zawaid 12116 — The people of good and the people of evil
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ ، وَأَهْلُ الْمُنْكَرِ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَهْلُ الْمُنْكَرِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الْكَبِيرِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَارُونَ الْفَرَوِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَفِي الْآخَرِ لَيْثُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ وَهُوَ مُدَلِّسٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of good in this world will be the people of good in the Hereafter, and the people of evil in this world will be the people of evil in the Hereafter."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; the chain of al-Kabir contains Abdullah bin Harun al-Farwi, who is da'if (weak), and the other contains Layth bin Abi Sulaym, who is a mudallis.
