وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَتُنْتَهَكَنَّ الْأَصَابِعُ بِالطَّهُورِ ، أَوْ لَتَنْتَهِكَنَّهَا النَّارُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَوَقَفَهُ فِي الْكَبِيرِ عَلَى ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Either the fingers will have water run between them in ablution, or the Fire will run between them."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, while in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir it is reported as a mawquf narration (stopping at) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him); and its chain is hasan (good).
