It is reported about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "Run (water) between all five fingers, so that Allah Almighty does not fill them with fire."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator who is not named, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
