وَعَنْ وَاثِلَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ لَمْ يُخَلِّلْ أَصَابِعَهُ بِالْمَاءِ خَلَّلَهَا اللَّهُ بِالنَّارِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ ، وَهُوَ مُجْمَعٌ عَلَى ضَعْفِهِ .

Sayyiduna Wathilah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever does not run water between his fingers (while performing ablution), Allah Almighty will run fire between them on the Day of Resurrection."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, al-Ala' bin Kathir al-Laythi, whose weakness is agreed upon.
