Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11973

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When my Companions are mentioned, hold back (from criticising them)." After this the narrator mentioned the full hadith, which has already passed as a lengthy report in the Book of Divine Decree (al-Qadar). Its chain contains a narrator, Mushir bin Abd al-Malik, whom Ibn Hibban and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), and there is disagreement about him; its remaining narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
