وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ - أَوْ قَالَ : يَعْمَلُ - بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً ، ثُمَّ يُخْتَمُ لَهُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَيَعْمَلُ الْعَامِلُ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، ثُمَّ يُخْتَمُ لَهُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ " ، رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man does the deeds of the people of Hell for seventy years, but his end is sealed with the deeds of the people of Paradise. And a person does the deeds of the people of Paradise for seventy years, but his end is sealed with the deeds of the people of Hell."
