Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed Allah Almighty created Paradise and created people for it, with their clans and their (tribes also specified). Nothing will be added to these people and nothing will be reduced from them. He created Hell and created people for it, (specified by the names of) their clans and tribes. Nothing will be added to them and nothing will be reduced from them." A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, then why should deeds be done?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do deeds, for everyone is facilitated towards that for which he was created."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Bakkar bin Muhammad al-Sirini, whom Yahya bin Ma'in declared thiqah (trustworthy) while the majority declared him da'if (weak); and Abbad bin Ali al-Sirini was declared da'if (weak) by al-Azdi. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Hadiths of this kind will come in the chapter which states that everyone is facilitated towards that for which he was created.
