Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11788

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Busr (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: While delivering a sermon to us, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spread out his right hand, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) closed that fist and said: "In this are the names of the people of Paradise, the names of their forefathers and their tribes. Nothing will be added to them and nothing will be reduced until the Day of Resurrection." Then he spread out his left hand, then closed it and said: "These are the names of the people of Hell, the names of their forefathers and the names of their tribes. Nothing will be added to them and nothing will be reduced until the Day of Resurrection. (Some) people of felicity are made to walk the path of the wretched, until it is said: 'He is one of them (the wretched),' whereas they are of the others (that is, the fortunate). Then felicity overtakes them and brings them out of the path of wretchedness. Likewise, a person from among the wretched is made to walk the path of felicity, until it is said: 'He is one of them (that is, the fortunate),' but he is of the others (that is, the wretched). Wretchedness then overtakes him and brings him out of the path of felicity." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everyone is facilitated towards that for which he was created."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Abd al-Rahman bin Ayyub al-Sakuni, who narrated other narrations besides this one. About him al-Uqayli said: "His hadith is not corroborated (la yutaba')." Al-Dhahabi declared him da'if (weak) on his own account. The chain of this narration also contains Baqiyyah, about whom criticism has been made apart from this hadith as well.
