Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty took (mankind) in a handful and said: 'These are for Paradise, by My mercy.' Then He took (other people) in another handful and said: 'These are for Hell, and I do not care.'"
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains al-Hakam bin Sinan al-Bahili. Abu Hatim says: "He has many errors (wahm); he is not strong, yet his standing is that of truthfulness (sidq), and his hadith may be written down." The majority declared him da'if (weak); the remaining narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih.
