Book of Divine Decree
بَابٌ فِيمَا سَبَقَ مِنَ اللَّهِ - سُبْحَانَهُ - فِي عِبَادِهِ وَبَيَانِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَهْلِ النَّارِ .
What Allah has decreed beforehand for His servants, and the people of Paradise and the people of the Fire

وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ - تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى - لَمَّا خَلَقَ آدَمَ قَبَضَ مِنْ طِينَتِهِ قَبْضَتَيْنِ ، قَبْضَةً بِيَمِينِهِ وَقَبْضَةً بِالْيَدِ الْأُخْرَى ، فَقَالَ لِلَّذِي بِيَمِينِهِ : هَؤُلَاءِ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَلَا أُبَالِي ، وَقَالَ لِلَّذِي فِي يَدِهِ الْأُخْرَى : هَؤُلَاءِ إِلَى النَّارِ وَلَا أُبَالِي ، ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمْ فِي صُلْبِ آدَمَ فَهُمْ يَتَنَاسَلُونَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ إِلَى الْآنِ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، قَالَ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ : صُوَيْلِحٌ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ غَيْرُهُ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، قَالَ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ : صُوَيْلِحٌ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ غَيْرُهُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty created Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him), He took his clay in a grasp; He took it in two handfuls, some in the right handful and some in the left. About the people of the right handful He said: 'These will go to Paradise, and I do not care.' And about the people of the other hand He said: 'These people will go to Hell, and I do not care.' Then Allah Almighty put these people back into the loins of Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him), and to this day they are being born generation after generation on that basis."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Rawh bin al-Musayyab. Yahya bin Ma'in says: "He is suwaylih (somewhat acceptable)," and others declared him da'if (weak).
