وَعَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُطِيعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ : رَأَى مُطِيعُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ فِي مَنَامِهِ أَنَّهُ أُهْدِيَ إِلَيْهِ جِرَابُ تَمْرٍ ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " هَلْ بِأَحَدٍ مِنْ فَتَيَاتِكَ حَمْلٌ ؟ " . قَالَ : نَعَمْ بِامْرَأَةٍ مَنْ بَنِي لَيْثٍ وَهِيَ أُمُّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ . قَالَ : " إِنَّهَا سَتَلِدُ غُلَامًا " . فَوَلَدَتْ غُلَامًا فَأَتَى بِهِ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَسَمَّاهُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ ، وَحَنَّكَهُ بِتَمْرَةٍ ، وَدَعَا لَهُ بِالْبَرَكَةِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمَا .
Zakariyya bin Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Muti' reports from his father, from his grandfather: Sayyiduna Muti' bin al-Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) saw in a dream that a bag of dates was given to him as a gift. He mentioned this before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Is any of your wives pregnant?" He replied: "Yes, (my) wife who belongs to Banu Layth is pregnant, and she is the mother of Abdullah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She will give birth to a son." Then that woman gave birth to a son, and Sayyiduna Muti' bin al-Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) brought that child to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named the child Abdullah, did tahnik for him with a date, and supplicated for blessing for him.
