Majma al-Zawaid 11773 — The interpretation of dreams
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّهُ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ فِيمَا يَرَى النَّائِمُ لَكَأَنَّ فِي إِحْدَى إِصْبَعَيَّ سَمْنًا وَفِي الْأُخْرَى عَسَلًا ، فَأَنَا أَلْعَقُهُمَا ، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحْتُ ذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " تَقْرَأُ الْكِتَابَيْنِ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالْفُرْقَانَ " ، فَكَانَ يَقْرَؤُهُمَا . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: I saw in a dream as though there was ghee on one of my fingers and honey on the other, and I was licking both of them. The next day I mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have acquired the knowledge of two books: the Torah and the Qur'an." The narrator says: He had read both of these books (that is, he had properly acquired knowledge of them).
