وَعَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ الْكِنَانِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ : أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَؤُهَا : "الْحَيُّ الْقَيَّامُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَأَبُو خَالِدٍ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Abu Khalid al-Kinani reports about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he used to recite it as: "al-Hayy al-Qayyam" (the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all).
