Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11532

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who was reciting Surah al-Ikhlas. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He has made (Paradise) obligatory (for himself), (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) Paradise has become obligatory for him.
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ali bin Yazid, who is da'if (weak).
