Surah al-Ikhlas, reports on its virtue and the virtues joined with it

وَعَنْ شَيْخٍ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : خَرَجْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَمَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ يَقْرَأُ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ فَقَالَ : " أَمَّا هَذَا فَقَدَ بَرِئَ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ " . وَإِذَا آخَرُ يَقْرَأُ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " بِهَا وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ " .
An elder who lived in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrates: I set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who was reciting Surah al-Kafirun. He said: As for this man, he has become free of polytheism. Another man was reciting Surah al-Ikhlas, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Because of it, Paradise has become obligatory for this man.
