وَعَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّ نَعِيمٍ نُسْأَلُ عَنْهُ سُيُوفُنَا عَلَى عَوَاتِقِنَا ؟ قَالَ ، وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ أَشْعَثُ بْنُ بِرَازٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .
Al-Hasan narrates: When this verse was revealed: "Then on that Day you will be called to account for the blessings", the people said: O Messenger of Allah! For which blessings will we be called to account, when our swords are on our shoulders? The narrator says: Then he mentioned the full hadith.
