Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When this verse was revealed: "Then on that Day you will be called to account for the blessings", Sayyiduna al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! For which blessings will we be called to account? We have only these two things, water and dates. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They (the blessings) will soon come (to you).
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ibrahim bin Bashshar al-Ramadi, whom Ibn Hibban and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Ahmad and others declared him da'if (weak); the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
