قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : سِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ مِنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ .

وَعَنِ الْجُعَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ : كُنْتُ عِنْدَ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ إِذْ جَاءَ الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَفِي وَجْهِهِ أَثَرُ السُّجُودِ ، فَلَمَّا رَآهُ قَالَ : مَنْ هَذَا ؟ قِيلَ الزُّبَيْرُ ، قَالَ : لَقَدْ أَفْسَدَ هَذَا وَجْهَهُ ، أَمَا وَاللَّهِ مَا هِيَ السِّيمَاءِ الَّتِي سَمَّاهَا اللَّهُ ، وَلَقَدْ صَلَّيْتُ عَلَى وَجْهِي مُنْذُ ثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً مَا أَثَّرَ السُّجُودُ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيَّ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Al-Ju'ayd bin Abd al-Rahman narrates: I was with al-Sa'ib bin Yazid when al-Zubayr bin Suhayl bin Abd al-Rahman bin Awf came, and there was the mark of prostration on his face. When al-Sa'ib saw him, he asked: "Who is this?" He was told: "This is al-Zubayr." He said: "This man has spoiled his face. By Allah! The mark that Allah Almighty mentioned is not this mark. I have been praying for eighty years, yet no mark has formed between my two eyes."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
