Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11114

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) states: The mockers were eight: al-Walid bin al-Mughirah; Abu Zam'ah, who is al-Aswad bin al-Muttalib; al-Aswad bin Abd Yaghuth; and al-As bin Wa'il. He states: All of them were killed on the occasion of the Battle of Badr, in a state of death or illness; and al-Harith bin Qays, who was one of the Ayatil.
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
I found this narration thus in the copy from which I transcribed it. Its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except that it is garbled, and it appears that part of this narration has also dropped out.
