بَابٌ فِي مَنْ قَتَلَ مُعَاهِدًا أَوْ أَخَفَرَ ذِمَّةً .
One who kills a person under covenant or violates a pledge of protection
Majma al-Zawaid 10754 — One who kills a person under covenant
وَعَنْ جُنْدَبٍ قَالَ : وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ يَخْفِرُ ذِمَّتِي كُنْتُ خَصْمَهُ ، وَمَنْ خَاصَمْتُهُ خَصَمْتُهُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Jundab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: It reached me that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever violates the protection I have granted, I will be his opponent, and whomever I am an opponent of, I will (fully) defeat him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
