بَابُ لَا يَجْنِي أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ، وَلَا يُؤْخَذُ أَحَدٌ بِجَرِيرَةِ غَيْرِهِ
No one is held liable for another's crime, and no one is punished for the offence of another

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ - عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ ، وَلَا يُؤْخَذُ الرَّجُلُ بِجَرِيرَةِ أَبِيهِ ، وَلَا بِجَرِيرَةِ أَخِيهِ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not turn back into disbelievers after me, striking one another's necks. No man will be seized for the crime of his father, nor in retribution for the crime of his brother."
