وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ نَاوَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - التُّرَابَ ، فَرَمَى بِهِ وُجُوهَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) handed dust to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), which he (peace and blessings be upon him) threw toward the polytheists on the occasion of the Battle of Hunayn.
