وَعَنْ شَبَّابٍ الْعُصْفُرِيِّ قَالَ : سَنَةَ سِتٍّ مِنَ الْهِجْرَةِ كَانَتْ غَزْوَةُ بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ ، وَفِي هَذِهِ الْغَزْوَةِ قَالَ فِيهَا أَهْلُ الْإِفْكِ مَا قَالُوا ، وَنَزَلَ فِيهَا الْقُرْآنُ : ( إِنَّ الَّذِينَ جَاءُوا بِالْإِفْكِ عُصْبَةٌ مِنْكُمْ ) الْآيَةَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ مُوسَى بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا التَّسْتُرِيِّ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Shabbab al-Usfuri narrates: The Battle of Banu al-Mustaliq took place in the sixth year of the Hijrah. During this battle the people of the false accusation made their accusation, and concerning it this command of the Qur'an was revealed: "Indeed, those who brought forth the false accusation are a group among you."
Al-Tabarani recorded it from his teacher Musa bin Zakariyya al-Tustari, who is matruk (abandoned).
